In 2020 How & Why was engaged by ILBIJERRI Theatre Company to create a 30th anniversary book celebrating Australia’s longest running First Nations theatre company. Over two years we worked with committee members to facilitate the book-making process with ILBIJERRI as they documented their history, in their words, with voices from ILBIJERRI’s founders, playwrights, actors, directors and crew. The result was a beautiful 200-page book full of personal stories, memories and anecdotes and a collection of archival images, created for mob, by mob.
